The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices ((POCACOV) in partnership with a great POCACOV stakeholder Eze Okey Okah and his foundation on the 8th of April, 2020, commenced the distributions of relief materials to vulnerable persons and in order to alleviate their plights during this period of lockdown owing to covid 19 pandemic.
The exercise was coordinated by POCACOV/Anti cultism commander Elele Zone and POCACOV coordinator Rivers state, DSP Yusuf Abdullahi Idi during which food items were distributed to the vulnerable persons within Elele Alimini Rivers state and its environs with full observations of the prescribed precautionary safety measures and social distancing.
According to the National Coordinator POCACOV CSP Ebere Amaraizu, “the exercise will continue on Thursday, 9th April and we thank Our great POCACOV stakeholder Eze Okey Okah Support Foundation for the gesture.
“We intend to get across to other POCACOV stakeholders for their support to deepen this intervention. We are also working out modalities at the IGP MA ADAMU POCACOV Resource Centre, Enugu, on a planned programme of action that will take care of some interventions concerning the effect of COVID-19 pandemic in our society as it affects the vulnerable in our society.
