As Christians all over the world mark the 2020 Easter Celebration, the member representing Nkanu East Constituency in Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor has charged Nigerians to continue to exhibit absolute trust in God in spite of the current Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the World.
In his Easter message to his constituency; Nkanu East, Nigerians and Christians all over the world, Nnajiofor sues for peace, unity, love as well as prayers and mutual respect.
He stressed the need to uphold the significance of Easter and appreciate the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary which has brought redemption to mankind.
Nnajiofor who is also the House Committee Chairman on Rural Development and CSDP further urged his constituents to continue to support the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi whom he said has demonstrated genuine commitment towards “moving Enugu State to an enviable heights attaining the echelon of the most Peaceful and safest State in Nigeria”.
He encouraged all well-meaning people of Nkanu East to continue to offer fervent prayers and trust in the Power of Jesus Christ whose resurrection “we are celebrating to remove the Virus and grant us victory over other challenges of life”.
The lawmaker expressed satisfaction over the compliance level of the people of Nkanu East Constituency to the recent directives on sit -at -home and social distancing protocols issued by the Governor Ugwuanyi which is aimed at containing the spread of the deadly Coronavirus disease.
“I score the people of Nkanu East Constituency 100 % in obeying the directive and I urge you to avoid breaking the social distancing protocol until it is lifted by the state government.
While wishing his people a peaceful Easter celebration, Nnajiofor assured quality representation in the hallowed chamber by making laws aimed at improving the wellbeing of the people.
“I wish everyone in Nkanu East Constituency a happy and peaceful Easter Celebration while I urge you renew commitment to the things of God than earthly things that perishes”. He said
