An NGO, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Advocacy Network (LEAD Network), has said that Biafrans can still make meaningful leadership impact in Nigeria.

The Executive Director of LEAD Network, Mr Chukwuma Okenwa, said this in a statement he issued on Sunday to commemorate this year’s Biafran Day.

It would be recalled that May 30 had been set aside yearly by Biafrans; people within a geography covering present South-East and South-South locations of Nigeria, to remember their lost ones and their heroes/heroi during the attempted annihilation of their people that lasted for 30 months.

According to Okenwa, hatred is enough motivation to love and love can turn the world around.

“I believe Biafrans can position themselves within the one Nigeria space and make meaningful leadership impact.

“For those advocating for #BiafraExit, hear this:

“Even if one Nigeria is split to give independence to various regions, there will always be one fenceless border to define two nations.

“Thus collaboration still remains imminent,’’ he said.

The LEAD Network boss, however, said that the essence of the remembrance however “is not for resentment, but a time to reposition ourselves to ensuring that history does not repeat itself again’.

“And to the known and unknown heroes, I doff my heart for you all,’’ he said.
