The senator representing Abia North senatorial zone is now a free man.
The former governor who is standing trial for alleged misappropriation of public funds during his time as governor had his conviction nullified by the Supreme Court and a Federal High Court seating in Lagos on Tuesday ordered the Nigeria Correctional Service to release him immediately.
One of his aides who spoke to our correspondent anonymously said; “Yes Oga is out but since I’m not authorized to speak, I won’t say more than this.”
