As the Nigeria Police Force intensify its campaign Against Cultism, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV), Substance abuse, Thuggery as well as other vices prevalent amongst some of our children/youths, some Non Governmental Organizations are now throwing their weight behind this wonderful initiative of the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu.

One of the groups; Yagazie Foundation (closing Penitentiary doors through opening learning doors) in a letter of partnership, signed by Ezirim C. Kennedy, the body poured encomium on the Inspector General of police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu for the initiative which according to them; “Has positively helped the Nigerian Society as the programme is structured in line with the community oriented Policing tenets and also conforming with the ongoing Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).

The group also commended the Inspector General of Police for his choice of appointing CSP Ebere Amaraizu as the National Coordinator to man the “impactful and important programme which is a new approach by the Nigeria Police.”

Yagazie Foundation is a Non Governmental Organization group in Lagos State, South West Nigeria and established to complement the policy and programme designed by Federal Government of Nigeria and other relevant stakeholders in efforts towards reducing and ultimately eradicating the prevalent social problems and promote an enabling environments for the children and youths in Nigeria.

“We have been working with local and international organizations to address cultural and environmental norms that promote patterns of societal problems in the environment of learning and our interaction with the community which represents education related issues as a recurring phenomenon in the Nigerian Society hence our resolve to partner with Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices,” part of the letter by the group reads.

Similarly, another non Governmental body; ACE MICHAELS Integrated Services Limited also based in Lekki, Lagos State, South West Nigeria has also expressed their interest and readiness for partnership with the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) in order to save Nigerian Children and Youths from the Claws of Cultism and other vices for a safe and secured Nation.

The group expressed their readiness in a letter signed the organization’s Managing Director, Yetunde Ajibade and the Administrator, Bunmi Jasmine Omeke.

The group thanked the Inspector General of police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the Nigeria Police force for coming up with POCACOV which according their letter, “Is a very laudable programme which has been impactful particularly in the betterment of the lives of Nigerian Youths.”

The Organization also stated that their decision to partner with POCACOV is to help strengthen the impact of POCACOV in Nigerian Communities.

“Considering the focus of POCACOV, we believe that Ace Michaels and its CEO are strategically positioned as drivers to help create the necessary impact and influence that POCACOV aims and objectives wishes to achieve through its targeted campaign at the youth population in Nigeria.
