Following the interruption of power supply in some parts of Enugu- Onitsha Road, Golf, Prisons, Powerhouse, Coal Camp and Hilltop, the Enugu State Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, has assured the affected customers that their engineers are on top of the situation while apologizing for the ugly development.

In a terse statement signed by Emeka Ezeh, Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, he disclosed that the outage “is as a result of fault on our TR2 power transformer at Kingsway Injection Substation, Enugu.”

The statement reads;

POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION IN PARTS OF ENUGU STATE

The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) sincerely apologise to her esteemed customers at Onitsha Road, Golf, Prisons, Powerhouse, Coal Camp and Hilltop, for the power outage that they are currently experiencing which is as a result of fault on our TR2 power transformer at Kingsway Injection Substation, Enugu.

Our team of engineers has been working assiduously to rectify the fault. We therefore appeal for patience and understanding of our customers affected by this development.

We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences, while assuring our customers of our commitment to providing improved services.
