The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has raised alarm over the planned activities by a cult group in the entire country.

The National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu raised the alarm while speaking to newsmen at IGP M.A Adamu Pocacov Resource Centre, Enugu.

Amaraizu said that the intelligence report gathered by the Centre disclosed that there’s a planned celebration by some group of suspected Cult members on 7/7/2020 to mark their day as 7/7 which is the sign of AXE.

Amaraizu adviced “parents, guardians, care givers and other relevant stakeholders to help provide a strategic leadership direction to their children and wards to enable them be free from involvement in cultism and other vices.

The POCACOV boss further reminded Nigerian Children and Youths that; “rather than making such celebration which will be detrimental to their future and well being because of its unpleasant onsequencies, they can cash in on the strategic leadership direction and platform provided by POCACOV and join others to renounce their membership, submit their weapons and embrace peace and be able to save their future and contribute meaningfully to the societal growth and development.”

He also reminded Children/youths on the need to uphold those tenets being propagated by POCACOV such as MODESTY, PERSEVERANCE, INTEGRITY, SELF CONTROL as well as INDOMITABLE SPIRIT as they are the panacea for becoming good and responsible citizens and leaders.

POCACOV is an initiative of the Nigeria Police Force Under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu that’s community driven and aimed at saving Nigerian Children/Youths from the Claws of Cultism, Thuggery/Violence, Substance Abuse, Sexual and Gender Based Violence and other vices.
