The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has been described as a children and Youth programme that was initiated at the appropriate time.

This was disclosed by Hon Chukwunonye Okereke the Senior Special Assistant to the Enugu state Governor on Public Communication on 18/8/2020 when he paid courtesy visit to the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu at the IGP M.A Adamu POCACOV Resource Centre Enugu.

According to him, POCACOV as a community oriented policing programme is the solution to youth challenges as it constantly educate, enlighten them and also giving them strategic leadership directions through the provisions of alternatives that will help them discover their abundant potentials by staying off from crime and criminality especially cultism and other vices and thereby becoming good Nigerian Citizens.

He also gave kudos to the Inspector General of Police IGP M.A Adamu and the Nigeria Police Force for coming up with with POCACOV, a programme with a sustainable solution to Youth Challenges Nationally.

He also commended the Inspector General of Police for the choice of Csp Ebere Amaraizu who is an expert in Public Relations and Strategic Communications as the National Coordinator.

He further highlighted that POCACOV is a solution to what problem we think we may be having in Nigeria and called on the support of Government at all levels, Minitries, Department, Agencies, Faith-based and Community based organizations and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the sustainance of the programme.

POCACOV is the way and solution to security challenges because they revolve around our youths and pointing out that the Programme is larger and bigger than what the initiators (Nigeria Police Force) may be thinking about it and solicited for the support of all, the Nigeria police Force is now running a campaign aimed at stopping children and youths involvement in crime and criminality through a community driven programme that stipulates working with different stakeholders and this is proactive policing at work.

Responding, the National Coordinator POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu thanked the Government aid for the visit and assured that POCACOV will continue to work with different stakeholders across the country to ensure that Nigerian children/youths are saved from the claws of Cultism and other vices and thereby making our society safe and secured.
