Hon Barr Chima Obieze, Member Representing Ezeagu State Constituency at Enugu State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, visited Aptech Digital School Zik Avenue, Enugu the venue of the UPSKILL THE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT TRAINING organized by Enugu West Youth General Assembly (EWYGA); the apex body of Enugu West youths.
Hon. Obieze who was at the centre to inspect the level of training going on and also motivate the students expressed happiness at the dedication of the youths for the programme. He also entreated the students to be committed to what they are being taught as leaders of the zone have plans to engage them after the program to be able to showcase and work with what they learnt.
Hon. Obieze said the training resonates with his solemn believe in youth empowerment and also applauded the leadership of Enugu West Youth General Assembly (EWYGA) led by Amb. Comr. Elvis Obi-Nwankwo for organizing such program and pledged to support in every programme that will empower the youths.
Obieze, who was the pioneer founder and coordinator of the apex youth body maintained that the aim and objectives of the youth organisation is being adhered to as the group was to formed to empower the youths with skills and not for a political hallelujah.
He also thanked the Governor of Enugu West Rt Hon Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi (GburuGburu) and the Senator Representing Enugu West, Dist. Sen Prof. Ike Ekweremmadu (CFR) for sponsoring the program and urged for more support to empower the youths of Enugu West.
The students expressed satisfaction at the level of the training, and thanked Hon Obieze for coming. They pledged to be committed and obedient in the course of the training.
One of the trainees who couldn’t hide his joy said; “an organization that made training of the youths paramount deserves to be trusted with greater duties. Indeed, Enugu West Youths General Assembly is setting a standard that time won’t be able to outlive!”
