As Nigeria marks its five years of commitment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) and recommitting to sustainable future, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), has restated its continued commitment towards the full actualization of the SDGs aims and objectives.
According to the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu, the initiative of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has put necessary measures in place through POCACOV for the actualization of the agenda of the sustainable development goals.
Amaraizu noted that, “this is because IGP Adamu has remained resolute by providing the strategic leadership for the achievements of all the goals through the police campaign against cultism and other vices.
“POCACOV is a hub for the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs). The implementation of the community policing program by the IGP is a clear demonstration of enhancement of SDGs in which POCACOV, the community policing tool of the force is playing the role of sustainable development goals desk platforms.”
