As part of measures by the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) towards deepening the campaign in communities in Rivers state and its environs for a safer and secured community, the POCACOV Volunteer Club in the state led by its State Chairman, Amb. Eke Onwuka, yesterday, alongside with his executive members visited members and youths in Ikwerre/Etche LGA of the state.

According to the National Coordinator POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu, “the visit is in solidarity to the youth based group on their upcoming event tagged ‘Ikwere/Etche Youth For Christ’ slated to take place on 31/10/2020 in Ikwere/Etche with a view to utilizing the event for POCACOV activities which includes awareness creation and sensitizations of the youths for a leadership direction ahead of the POCACOV South-South Summit in Rivers state later this year.”

Expressing their joy, the youth group jointly commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the entire Police Force on the initiative, appreciating the efforts of the POCACOV National Coordinator and its Rivers State Counterpart DSP Abdullahi Yusuf Idi on the POCACOV programme.

In a similar development, the hunters club of Ikwere/Etche Rivers state have joined the POCACOV Volunteer Club scheme of safer community and school partnership.

The hunters club later embraced POCACOV and thanked the Inspector General of Police and Nigeria Police Force on POCACOV initiative and assured of their maximum support in areas of information and intelligence sharing.
