Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the inauguration of a Judicial Panel of Inquiry to investigate allegations of extra-judicial killings and brutality by security agents in the state.
The state Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, who made the announcement yesterday said the committee will be inaugurated on Friday, October 23, 2020, at the Government House, Umuahia, at 1pm.
He listed the composition of the panel to include: Retired Justice S. N Imo as Chairman; Nwakanma John; Daniel Chinagozi; Ariwa Zuby; Eric Ikwuagwu; Bishop Sunday Onuoha; Comrade John Emejor; Comrade Nnanna Nwafor; Mrs Doris Ogala and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice as Secretary.
