Earlier today, the Enugu State government imposed a 24-hour curfew in some parts of the state.
The curfew which took effect from 7PM on on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020 will be observed in Enugu East, Enugu North and Enugu South local government areas.
However the commissioner for Information, Hon. Chidi Aroh have disclosed that some persons are exempted from the curfew.
“Sequel to the earlier announcement on imposition of 24-hour curfew in Enugu East, Enugu North and Enugu South Local Government Areas of Enugu State, the state government has approved that persons on essential services in the affected local governments such as health care workers, staff of Water Corporation, Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), Fire Service, and Enugu State Emergency Management Agency, shall continue to attend to their duties,” Aroh said.
