…Urge IMT Students and Youths of Enugu State to be calm and peaceful.

Following the death of one Master Ejike Okeke on Saturday 24th of October, 2020 from a stray bullet by a yet to be unidentified Officer repelling crowd at Nkpokiti, the Representatives of Institute of Management and Technology, IMT, Alumni Comrades led by a Former President of the Students Union Government RT Comr Monday Diamond A (President Nkanu Youth Council), alongside Comr Onah Joseph Onyemaechi (President National Council of Enugu State Students), Hon Ester Ogbuefi (Representing Enugu West Constituency in the Nigeria Youth Parliament) and the incumbent President of the Student Union Government of IMT Rt Comr Anichukwu Ugochukwu paid a condolence visit to the Family of the victim on Sunday.

The visit the Comrades said, was in line with the resolution of the Comrades to indentify with the deceased family, console them and on behalf of the Family, IMT Students and Youths mediate with the necessary Authorities and work out modalities for the Burial.

Master Ejike who is a Native of Amaogbu Akama Oghe in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu State was until his death, a Student of the institute where he was studying Computer Science.

In his response, the victim’s elder brother, Comr Chekwube Okeke decried the unfortunate incidence but urged IMT Students and Enugu Youths to be calm and peaceful and not to retort to violence that would cause mayhem in Enugu State as God knows the best and Enugu State is ours.
