As the 2023 gubernatorial election draws closer, a socio-cultural/pressure group, Adada General Assembly, AGA, has announced its readiness to set up and inaugurate members of its state executives to pilot the affairs of the group in various state levels.

Making the announcement on Thursday by its Director of Media and Publicity, Mrs Rita Eberechukwu Anigbogu, AGA noted that “the formation of the state executives will take place on the 1st of November 2020 at Carolin Hotels Nsukka by 2pm.”

She directed the local government coordinators of the group to send two names each to the National Secretary, Barr Ogbuja Ogbu, for nomination.

The statement further noted that “the AGA was aimed at galvanizing and uniting our cultural zones of Isi Uzo, Uzo Uwani, Igbo Etiti, Udenu, Igbo-Eze North, Igbo-Eze South and Nsukka, towards a firm position of affairs for the emancipation of our people both in thought and action for a renaissance that will ensure that our further subjugation is eradicated or better still minimized.

“We are resolute towards ensuring that come 2023, the governor of our dear state Enugu must come from that zone for the purposes of equity and balance of power.

“Beyond this noble agenda, we have to rise up against the frivolous attacks on our Governor H.E Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi whom despite his infrastructural strides is being attacked from undeserving quarters.”
