One Week After the People’s Democratic party in Abia State released the names of its Chairmanship and Deputy Chairmanship Candidates in the Forthcoming Local Government Election, One of the Front line Contenders for the Arochukwu Local Government Area Ticket, Mrs Francess Olisa-Ogbonnaya popularly known as Tabitha has expressed gratitude to the People of Arochukwu Local Government Area most especially the People of Aro Okeigbo for their support and Love all through the time of Campaign and Consultations. She extended unquantifiable gratitude to the Eze Ibom and Eze Okoni Ibom for openly endorsing her ambitions without any form of Reservations.
“God knows how I feel towards my people of Aro Okeigbo, They showed me love in ways innumerable, they prayed for me to clinch the Ticket, Unfortunately the Governor,His Excellency Okezie Ikpeazu (PhD), the Party Leadership in the State as well as some PDP Stakeholders in the Local Government Area think Otherwise and like we theoretically say, Party remains Supreme Regardless of how unpopular their decision is.” Mrs Ogbonnaya stated
Speaking Further, Mrs Ogbonnaya added that she will never take the Love of the Ndi Aro Okeigbo for granted adding that she has plans to make it up to them.
Mrs Ogbonnaya disclosed that her Only regret is that ceding the Chairmanship to Abam and Deputy to Ututu might further deepen the feeling of annihilation by the People of Aro Okeigbo in The People’s Democratic Party and that she expects the PDP and State Government to correct this anomaly.
” As we Speak, Aro Okeigbo is missing in the scheme of things in Abia State PDP vis a Vis the state Government, Commissioner is from Ihechiowa, the Party Local Government leadership is from Abam, the Chairmanship Candidate is also from Abam, The PROVOST of the State College Education is from Ututu where the Deputy Chairmanship Candidate is from , Leaving Arochukwu with Nothing and Painful is that Known of the holders of these Prime Positions in PDP and State Government is a Woman, I pray the Governor who is the Leader of the Party in the state corrects this.
When asked if Her Gender as a Woman and her Inter state Marriage status cost her the Nomination, The Popular Broadcast Journalist and Political Analyst stated that she is still studying the Dynamics and Trends of the Just Concluded Primary and that she will be sharing her experience in due time.
She however noted that she is glad she made an impact, Inspired Young Women, disrupted the Narrative and that she will continue to make impacts in the Lives of Young Women and encourage More to get into Politics adding that She learnt “Many Many New Things”
She further thanked her supporters, The Men of the Press who is her famiy for all the Love and Support as well as the Party Leadership, The PDP Stakeholders in Arochukwu Local Government Area as well as Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for ensuring Peace reigned supreme during the Just Concluded Primary Election.
