The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV), Rivers State Chapter in partnership with SWAG Empire Comedy on Sunday, launched another POCACOV campaign comedy series titled: POCACOV In My Community.
POCACOV in my community is a campaign message series with good mixtures and comedy flavour to drive home messages that will dissuade our children and youths from cultism and other vices in our community.
According to the National Coordinator POCACOV CSP Ebere Amaraizu who was represented by the Rivers state POCACOV Coordinator, DSP Yusuf Abdullahi Idi at the Campaign Album Launch which took place at VISAM Hotel, Elele community Isiokpo Rivers state, “the POCACOV album launch titled POCACOV In My Community is in line with the community driven structure of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and other Vices to continually sensitize members of the public through motion pictures of comedy that will help appeal to their conscience on the need to shun cultism and other vices. It is highly informative, educative and entertaining and it is a must watch and very short and in series.
“We thank our POCACOV Ambassador SWAG Empire Comedy for deliberate job done to add value to the society and urged all to rally round POCACOV to mitigate cultism and other vices in our society.”
In his speech, MARK ANGEL COMEDY another POCACOV AMBASSADOR who has turned around lives of our young Nigerian children thereby making them big celebrities adding values to the society in comedy like little Emmanuella and others, commended the Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the Nigeria Police Force on its efforts at making Nigeria Society better by evolving POCACOV Initiative.
According to Mark Angel who also is the Chief Executive Officer of MARK ANGEL COMEDY, “the approach adopted by POCACOV has drawn the Community closer to the police and it will help to restore POLICE PUBLIC CONFIDENCE and help bridge the gap between the Police and Local Community. It is a good initiative targeted at our children and youths even adults and charged Nigerian children and youths to be law abiding and creative, shun cultism and other vices that will jeopardized their future.”
He urged the Nigerian Community to join hands with POCACOV in its sensitization bid to educate the young generation on the consequences of joining cult and violent group as well as dangers of substance/drug abuse and that way, the supply line and recruitment process among children and youths will be cut off for a better society.
So many children and youths and people from all works of life, including the Chairman Rivers state POCACOV Volunteer Club(PVC) for safer community/school Amb. Eke Onwuka and his members among others attending the epoch making event which is aimed at deepening the campaign message of POCACOV.
POCACOV is the Initiative of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu aimed at saving Nigerian children and youths from the claws of cultism and other vices through advocacy, awareness creation/sensitizations, mentoring and reorientation. It is a community driven program involving different stakeholders in line with the tenets of community oriented policing (C.O.P).
