The youths of Nigeria have resolved to follow the spiritual aspect in bringing solution to the challenges facing the country.

The resolution was made after analyzing series of obstacles Nigerians are currently facing and the belief that the present and future of an average Nigerian is not assured.

The leaders of Nigerian youths who came together, resolved that it will take only God to restore this country. On this belief, they agreed to seek the face of God.

The National Leaders of the youth groups who had an interaction with Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) during their visit in Enugu last Saturday, prayed for the mercy of God upon the country.

They also had a resolution and adopted the clergyman, Rev. Fr. Mbaka the Spiritual Director of the Nigerian youths.

According to the President, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, “we resolved to make you the Spiritual Director of the youth for…of this country. The Nigeria youths plead with you to accept this offer.

In his statement, the Ag. National Speaker, Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Rt. Hon. Amb. Albert Ezenwata Nwangwu said “things are not moving well in this country Nigeria. The hardship, unemployment, security challenges, killings, bad education system, corruption, embezzlement of public funds. Where will I start counting?

“I cry for our youths. Now tell me, what is the future of an average Nigerian youth? The entire leadership system of this country is in mess. If the youths fails to come together to fix up this country, that means, they are not getting it right as well.

“So the first step we agreed on is to embrace God. God is the only hope of an average Nigerian youth because the leaders are not getting it right at all.

“Our youths are running outside this country to foreign countries basically because those countries can manage their economy than us. It’s almost Five Hundred Naira per Dollar and someone is telling me that everything is alright.

“We believe that with God, all things are possible. It takes only God to put things right in Nigeria”.

In response to that, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka acknowledged the task. He said “this task is ….to accept but difficult to reject. I know the task is a challenge but if the sacrifice will help to liberate the youths, I’m ready for it. Our youths are suffering.”

The movement which ended the following day being Sunday when the youths went for thanksgiving during Mass also gave room for the clergyman to pray for the Nigerian youths after a courtesy call to the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

The groups in attendance include; Youth Assembly of Nigeria, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Afenifere, Ijaw Youth Council, Arewa Youth Forum, Ohanaeze Youth Wing Worldwide, Tiv Youth Assembly, and many others.
