Delta state, South South, Nigeria has been hit by double tragedy as the father of the Governor, Sir Arthur Okowa and the the majority leader of the House of Assembly Tim Owhefere, have been reported dead.

orn in 1932 in Owa Alero, Ika North East Local Government Area of the state, Arthur passed on at 89.
Also, The Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Tim Owhefere, has passed on at the early hours of Thursday at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba.
Owhefere, a third term member of the House, represented Isoko North Constituency.
The lawmaker was said to have been down for about three weeks with undisclosed illness suspected to be COVID-19.
It would be recalled that the Speaker of the House, Sheriff Oborevwori recently recovered from the pandemic that has killed many around the globe.
