One of the front line support groups for the Governor of Enugu State- “Gburugburu Is A Goal Support Group (Chido Group)” has issued a disclaimer to the news circulating on social media which suggests that they “attacked the administration of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi” stressing that the piece is a tissue of lies as “they will never do that.”
In a disclaimer signed by Collins Chidozie, the Director General of the group, they said nothing can be farther from the truth than the publication as they will never do anything that will paint the government they campaigned vigorously for in bad light.
Chidozie said “The insinuation is the handiwork of political jobbers and a campaign of calumny targeted at ruining the good relationship we have with the peoples Governor.
“We championed the re-election of the Governor because of our conviction that he’s the best for the state and the love we have for him which is unshakeable.
“Gburugburu Is A Goal support group can never fight the administration of Governor Ugwuanyi in any way and will never do so because his achievements are unparalleled. Also, not forgetting the fact that he’s our own and our father who always thinks of what’s best for his children.”
“The public are therefore advised to ignore such a treacherous publication anytime they come across it from notorious, mischievous and never do well fellows,” he concluded.
The group also reassured the Governor of their support and commitment to supporting his government at all times.
