As part of measures towards deepening the module development and function of the IGP M.A Adamu POCACOV Resource Centre Enugu in the areas of life COPING, Manipulative and entrepreneural skills leading to the realization of the POCACOV Self Discovery Program for Children and Youths strategic Leadership direction for a safe and secured Nation and in line with the presidential direction and vision and which is linked to the Public Safety and Security Framework of the Nigeria Police Force Under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu has confirmed one of its Stakeholders, Solomon Akpanufot as Head, Research and Development at the IGP M.A Adamu POCACOV Resource Centre Enugu.
The Modules developed will be deployed in the campaign activities of POCACOV through forum base approach, Activity base approach and community members committee approach and through the processes of Advocacy, Awareness Creation and sensitization mentoring and reorientation.
It will also enable proper measurement of impact and effective review.The modules to develop will also revolve around sporting skills,Financial management skills,mentorship and support on branding, packaging, registration, trafficking in person (T.I.P), Sexual and gender based violence, Substance and Drug Abuse as well as on criminal recidivism and which will help to cut the conveyor belt and supply chains of children and youths involvement in crime especially Cultism, trafficking in person, substance and drug abuse, offences against the boy and girl child amongst other vices.
Before now,Solomon Akpanufot, a development consultant/Community policing specialist has served as a organizational Development and Management Specialist (ODMS) with DFID-Funded Education Sector Support Programme in Nigeria(ESSPIN). He also Served as the State Intervention Lead (SIL) with the Nigeria Policing Program(NPP) funded by the british High Commission. He has served as UNICEF Zonal M&E Wash Consultant in charge of Kano and Katsina states.
A graduate of political and Administrative studies from university of Port Harcourt and with masters of science(M.Sc) Degree in Development Studies with University of Nigeria Nsukka and has over 12 years cognate experience working as a development practitioner with various international development Agencies.
