As the campaign against cultism, substance and drug abuse, thuggery/violence, trafficking in person(T.I.P/S.O.M) and other vices is intensified within Rivers state and its environs, the leadership of tricycle riders with their members in Rumurolu and Woji route recently embraced the POCACOV initiative, commended IGP M.A Adamu and pledged their support in the ongoing nationwide campaign by the Nigeria Police Force against cultism and other vices for a peaceful and safe society.

This was made known on Monday at the occassion of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) stakeholders’ interface between the leadership of the tricyclist, some executives with POCACOV volunteer club members led by Amb. Eke Onwuka, the state POCACOV Volunter Club Chairman for safer school, community and towns.

During the occassion, fliers and other campaign materials were distributed by the POCACOV Campaign Team.

Similarly, POCACOV through its Volunteer Clubs for safer school, community (PVC) in the state, shall be embarking on the campaign and school visitations for safer school and community in line with the Nigeria Police Force public safety and security framework under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and in line with the tenets of the community oriented policing.

The community driven activity is billed to take place on Thursday 25th February, 2021, beginning from 11am at Community Secondary School (Open Field) Rumurolu with the theme “Dangers of Cultism and other Vices, Say No to Cultism and other Vices and Be a Champion.”

Among those expected to grace the occassion includes HRH. Eze (Amb)Dr. G.N Chukwumgba, Nyeweli Rumurolu Community Rivers state, SP Nnamdi Omoni the Rivers state police public relations officers and other broadspectrum of POCACOV stakeholders.

The Nigeria Police Force through its community driven and oriented program called Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) is the initiative of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu working with different stakeholders.
