Former Head of Service in Enugu State, Chief Clement Okwor, is set to formally join the All Progressives Congress, APC in his Akpoga village, Enugu East local government area.

This is coming less than a week after a former House of Representatives member from the same Senatorial Zone, Dr. Ujam Chukwuemeka ditched the PDP for the APC.

The Enugu East Zonal Vice Chairman of the APC, Chief Anike Nwoga who confirmed the development said “this is one out of the many defections to the APC already going in my zone.”

Chief Nwoga said categorically that “the technocrat, Chief Okwor will join us officially in the APC on Friday, 26th February, 2021 at his hometown, Akpoga Nike by 12 Noon.

“APC is welcoming a big masquerade, a former HoS and Commissioner in this state. The who is who in Enugu APC, Former Senate President of Nigeria, Chief Ken Nnamani; Enugu APC Caretaker Chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye; the Enugu state APC National Membership Registration and Revalidation Committee led by Sen. Jonathan Zwingina and host of other party members will be on ground to receive him.

“The entrance of Chief Okwor to APC will boost the fortune of the party in Enugu State and making nonsense of the claim that our people hates APC.”

Chief Anike Nwoga also said that “the registration and revalidation exercise is providing an opportunity for the people of Enugu State to demonstrate their willingness to play at the centre and its commendable.”

He went further to disclose that in the coming days, there’s going to be an unprecedented influx of political bigwigs of Nkanu Extraction into the APC stressing that they have done their homework very well and APC leaving no stone unturned in their quest to takeover the government in Enugu State.
