The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has stated that its community driven program and activity tagged “POCACOV Religious Leaders Consultative Forum (PRLCF)” will help to strengthen and deepen the ongoing nationwide campaign against cultism, substance and drug abuse, sexual and gender-based violence, violent behaviours and other related vices in society.

This was revealed by the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu while reacting on the modalities and modules developed by the IGP M.A Adamu Pocacov Resource Centre Enugu towards achieving effective youth value reorientation.

According to him, “the religious leaders are very important people in the character and opinion moulding of persons and with their constant touch with message of peace, unity, morality as well as hard work amongst others, we shall achieve effective youth value reorientation with a view to making people listen to their heart beat and embracing those good virtues that sharpens the value system thus eschewing vices.

“POCACOV will continue to work with different stakeholders in line with the tenets of the community oriented policing and we have identified the relevancy of our religious leaders in this direction especially in the value reorientation hence this activity.

“The POCACOV Religious leaders Consultative Forum is just like the POCACOV traditional rulers consultative forum. They are all activities that are linked to the Public Safety and Security framework of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu.”
