…says awards are pre-birthday gifts to the Governor

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani (Odoziobodo), has extolled Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s efforts on education following the recent academic performances of some Enugu State indigenes at the National Academic Competitions, historic exercises that have within one week, brought National Honours and pride to the State.

Speaking on the heels of the recent presidential prize won by Master Izuchukwu Edeani Godswill of Nara Unanateze, in Nkanu East LGA at the just concluded 774 Young Nigerian Scientists Presidential Award held at Eagles Square, Abuja by the Nigeria Air Force, the influential youth leader who also doubles as the President of Nkanu Youths Council (NYC) eulogized Edeani passionately, for making Enugu State proud.

Hon. Diamond also used the opportunity to commend Master Chineke of Peaceland College of Education who recently won the Common Wealth National Debate Competition held in Abuja.

According to Hon. Diamond, “all these educational successes and honours are clear testimonies of Gov. Ugwuanyi’s transformational revolution in the education sector in Enugu State, and I commend him for providing such enabling environment for pupils and students to learn, be academically equipped and always on the threshold of making us proud in several national competitions.”

Recall that Gov. Ugwuanyi sponsored Master Izuchukwu Edeani to the national level of this competition after the 16-year-old student of Air Force Comprehensive School, Agbani emerged the winner at the State level.

Hon. Diamond equally commended the Commissioner of Science and Technology, Hon. Obi Kama and his Education counterpart, Hon. Prof. Uche Ezeh for their pro-activeness in their different offices towards the actualization of these successes.

He further applauded Izuchukwu Edeani for making Nkanu land proud in the keenly contested examination and stated emphatically that the Honours are pre-birthday gifts to Governor Ugwuanyi as he marks his 57th birthday on Saturday.
