A public health physician and host of the popular TalkingHealthWithDrLaz show on AIT, Dr. Laz Eze has been nominated for the University of Kentucky Alumni Global Impact Award.

The nomination was made by the university’s College of Public Health where Dr. Eze obtained a Master of Public Health degree in 2013.

In a notification note, the Alumni Coordinator Jillian Faith told Dr. Eze that they believe he is the “most deserving” of the award.

According to the University, the award seeks to “recognize alumni whose highly distinguished careers have featured significant work outside the United States that has resulted in outstanding contributions to their communities or professions in global contexts, and/or who have exemplified ideals of global citizenship through the promotion of inter-cultural communication and mutual understanding, international peace and security, or responsible and sustainable international development.”

Dr. Eze graduated with distinction and multiple awards in the MPH – Health Policy and Management and Graduate Certificate in Global Health programmes of the university . He also served as the President of the University of Kentucky Student Public Health Association in 2012.
