…as he receives decoration as grand patron of POCACOV Volunteer Club in Rivers

His Royal Majesty King Ateke Michael Tom, JP, has commended the Inspector General Of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the Nigeria Police Force on the POCACOV initiative which is aimed at sensitizing different stakeholders as well as children and youths to eschew cultism, violence, substance and drug abuse and other related vices in the country for a safer, peaceful and secured society.

He made the commendation during the occassion of his formal investiture as the Grand Patron of the POCACOV Volunteer Club in Rivers State and the entire Niger Delta Region held on March 16, 2021 at his palace at Okochiri Ancient Kingdom Okirika Rivers State.

The Royal Father who also is the Sekuro of Niger Delta and Amanyanabo Okochiri Ancient Kingom, noted that the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) is a community police/social police at work because different stakeholders are involved especially from amongst various communities.

“I commend IGP Adamu on his various community oriented policing programmes in the country and very reliable and result oriented and the Nigeria Police Force on this wonderful initiative. As a peace Ambassador, I will continue to work with POCACOV and other stakeholders in the quest to achieving community peace, safety and security.

The investiture was carried out by the POCACOV Patron His Royal Majesty Amb. Eze Leslie Nyebuchi Eke JP, the Eze Gbakagbaka of Woji and the Nyerise Ora Evo Kingdom Rivers state and assisted by the Chairman Pocacov Volunteer Club Rivers State, Amb. Eke Onwuka as well as Amb. Bulus Emmanuel of the Rivers state POCACOV Volunteer Clubs.
