He said: “As an organization it is our plan to focus more on building collaboration with equitable organizations to see how they can transfer skills and mentorship to the people of Uburu. Mr Onu also noted that there will be a continuation of the programme before the next two months with another set of sponsors as there will be other trainings for those who wants to venture into fashion designing, shoe making, ICT and so much more.

Appealing to the state government and stakeholders to help the organization achieve some of their set out goals, Onu noted that with limited resources provided by individuals, the organization is in dire need of grants and assistance.

Also, sponsor of the training who is the Chief Executive Officer of Globtrot Farmsponsor Nigeria Limited, Akpa BillKeneth, said he decided to become part of the program as a corporate social responsibility of Globtrot Farmsposor Nigeria limited as well as community service responsibility to his local government to ensure that young people are directed on the best way possible to make a good living for themselves instead of depending on government for money or job.

According to BillKeneth, “Young people shy away from farming because they feel it’s a dirty job and tedious but at the same time technology have made farming much easier as you don’t need to do it the old style as machines can do the work for you. Agriculture can give you 300 percent returns on investment.”

He further advised young people to start doing something no matter how small it is and ask for help and mentorship when the need arises as he pledged to support the youths.

The moderator, Uburu Amaka Humanitarian Organization, Akpa Igwe Chijioke who explained that the meeting was a follow-up of the last meeting, said the essence was to identify the gap young people have and try to fill it up because the youths lack strategic information and skills that will help transform their lives.

Meanwhile, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Finance, Orlando Nwaeze and the Commissioner for Business Development, Dr Steven Odo, commended Uburu Amaka Humanitarian Organization for the initiative, stressing that they will ensure that the youths are been funded with the opportunity at the state level. They added that the state government will do all within its capacity to support young people in the state.

Participants were not left out as they promised to put to practice all they have learnt on bee keeping, poultry, fishery, and others for improved personal goals and economic development.
