…asks public to disregard claims

The apex youth wing of the Igbo sociocultural organization, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), has urged the public to disregard claims about the rumoured missing of the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, saying it was a false alarm.

Speaking on Wednesday in Enugu, the national president of OYC, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, said the false alarm of Mbaka’s disappearance was circulated by a group “impersonating the real Ohanaeze Youth Council.”

“The false information is coming from Rochas Okorocha’s faction of Ohanaeze led by Chidi Ibe who is using one Mr. Okwu Nnabuike as his youth president of Ohanaeze.

“Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka is in Enugu, healthy and sound and doing his normal business,” Igboayaka said, describing the information from Nnabuike/Rochas Okorocha’s faction of Ohanaeze youth wing as false and mischievous.

He added: “It’s regrettable that Mr. Okwu Nnabuike allowed himself to be used by politicians. It is because of Fr. Mbaka’s criticism of Buhari’s government that led Rochas’ faction of Ohanaeze to spread false news on Fr. Mbaka’s missing. Obviously they’re up to something. Pobably they may be planning to kidnap Fr. Mbaka and then turn around to point accusing fingers at Buhari’s government.”

Igboayaka cautioned the “impersonators and gangs of fraudsters” using the pseudo name ‘Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide’ to desist from such act.

He disclosed that “Okwu Nnabuike, since he received funding from Rochas Okorocha has become impostors hiding behind a non-existent group called ‘Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide’ to hoodwink and mislead the general public.

“Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC) wish to alert Ndigbo in particular and the general public at large to be wary of the antics and shenanigans of Mr. Chidi Ibe, Mr. Okwu Nnabuike and cohorts whom are hugely funded by Rochas Okorocha and other political enemies of Ndigbo to pursue an ulterior agenda and mischievous objectives against the overall interest of Ndigbo.

“Mr. Okwu Nnabuike as a megalomaniac, psychopathic and insatiable fellow is ready to go at any length to satisfy his paymasters in order to ensure that his daily bread is guaranteed. Therefore, the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) wishes to state categorically that the press statements published by various media outlets issued by Okwu Nnabuike with the name ‘Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide’, stating the missing of Fr. Mbaka is a political scam.

“At this juncture, we, therefore, inform the general public and Ndigbo in particular that henceforth, any release or statement issued or signed by, Mr. Okwu Nnabuike and their cohorts should be ignored and treated as one coming from an impostor who has sold his conscience to feed from the crumbs of unscrupulous politicians.”
