A Septuagenarian man identified as Micheal Omolayo on Saturday escaped being lynched after he was caught buying human hair collected from a barbers’ shop.

He reportedly bought the hair from a woman at Oke-emesho area of Akure.

Some residents who saw the woman handing over the hair to Pa Omolayo raised the alarm which attracted other residents in the area.

The mob was prevented from lynching the suspect but they followed him to his house where some fetish objects were reportedly recovered.

Head of the community, Chief James Abiodun, ordered the suspect be taken to the Deji of Akure palace with a view to using traditional to deal with the situation.

Spokesman of the Deji of Akure, Micheal Adeyeye, confirmed that the palace was handling the situation.
