The Music department of the University of Nigeria is set to honour a foremost Enugu advocate of good governance, Comrade Chibuzo Onyeije for his role in the promotion of youth participation in politics for good governance.
Comrade Onyeije, the founder Jonnymanpush, and Convener Youth Participation in Nigeria Politics has been intentional in holding our leaders accountable and preserving the rights of the people.
The letter of invitation for the award was signed by Dr. Emaeyak Peter Sylvanus, the head of Music department; Comr. Sansom L. Abonyi and Comr. Chuioke Freedom; the President and Secretary of Music Students Association of Nigeria, UNN chapter.
“We humbly wish to invite you for an award as one of the contributors who had impacted positively on youth development in Nigeria, thereby nurturing young talented youth for effective performances.
“You have distinguished yourself in this course and as well promoted it. It is this attribute we saw in you that made us choose
you as one of the awardees,” the invitation reads.
Comr Onyeije Chibuzo is the lead founder of Jonnymanpush, a civil society organisation formed on 21st November 2018.
The aim of the organisation is to build a value-driven youth anchored on tripod of vision, smart work and integrity. The organisation teaches Youths Participation in governance and posed to help the vulnerable since it’s existence.
Onyeije who is currently pursuing other endeavours is no longer the Head of this organisation but his works continues to speak for him long after he has left.
