The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has declared their support for the declaration of May 30th as a public holiday as muted by the Chairman of South East Governors’.

Speaking in an ongoing Press Conference, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Professor George Obiozor said its important to declare May 30th as a public holiday as it’s in the tradition of Ndigbo to remember our dead.

The Igbo leader is also calling on the South East Governors to roll out the Ebubeagu Security Outfit immediately.

Calls for more diplomacy in handling the security situation, advising the FG to note all the human rights abuses going on in the South East zone and understand its implications both on National and international level.
