A former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the ugly incident in Igangan Community of ibarapa North of Oyo State.
In the midnight of Saturday, 5th July, no fewer than 10 residents of Igangan community were murdered and the Palace the traditional ruler completely destroyed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
In his reaction via his Facebook page, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last general election prayed for the family of deceased to be consoled.
“I condemn the callous onslaught on innocent lives in the Igangan area of Oyo State. I commiserate with the victims’ families and stand with Governor Seyi Makinde and security operatives in their determined search for the criminals.
” I pray that families of the deceased will be comforted and for our country to find lasting peace,” Atiku said.
