…Dedicate awards to governor

The popular Christ Ascension Church, CAC, has recognized two Special Assistants to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for their uncanny acts of philanthropy and humanitarian service to the society by presenting them with a life award of Christian Youth Ambassador.

The ceremony which took place at the District Headquarters, Meniru, Enugu State, during the Christian Youth Fellowship Sunday, attracted the presence of dignitaries from different walks of life.

While presenting the awards to the duo of Comrade Monday Diamond Ani (Odoziobodo), Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, and Hon. Chidi Ilogebe, Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, during the Youth Week Service, the presiding Bishop, His Lordship, Bishop Matthew Ukah, noted that the awards went to the recipients in recognition of their uncommon humanitarian service to the society.

It would be recalled that earlier this year, Hon. Diamond had awarded 166 students of Ezuboke Primary School in Nkanu East Local Government Area a one year craft scholarship, while the Special Assistant on Students Affairs has also continued to maintain his monthly grants to some Youths in the State.

Ugwuanyi’s aides who expressed appreciation to the church for encouraging them to do more, also dedicated the awards to the governor.

According to them, the gesture to give back to the society was a foundation laid by their principal which they were merely following.

At the service were Comrade Onah Joseph, Prince Ejeh Josh, among others.
