Former aide to erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has called for a state of emergency to be declared in Kaduna State.

His call is coming few hours after gunmen reportedly invaded a hospital in Kaduna State, whisking away health workers, little babies and security guards.

In an earlier report, we mentioned that armed bandits abducted babies, nurses and security guards from the residential quarters of the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Centre (NTLC) in Zaria, Kaduna State.

According to PRNigeria, the bandits stormed the area from a nearby forest. They engaged police officers in a gun battle before they escaped with their victims.

In his reaction via a tweet, Reno condemned the action and muted that the Governor, Nasir El-Rufai seems overwhelmed by the situation.

“The reported abduction of infant babies and 5 nurses at a Kaduna hospital is condemned. This is one act of terror too many.

“Obviously, the situation in Kaduna is beyond the control of the Governor. It is high time for a state of emergency to be declared in Kaduna.”
