The identity of the police orderly of Prof Sam Ndubuisi, the former Dean, faculty of Engineering at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), that was assassinated in Enugu State has been revealed.
He’s Sagt. Ernest Ufuanya, a native of Ogulogu Olo, Ezeagu local government area of Enugu State.
He was the security officer attached to Prof Sam Ndubuisi, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Scientific Equipment Development Initiative, SEDI.
He was gruesomely murdered by unkonwn gunmen along the Enugu Port-Harcourt Expressway, very close to the centenary city on Wednesday alongside his boss.
Ernest Ufuanya is a father of three and attached to the Enugu State CID police formation. He was joined in Holy matrimony with his wife via the mass wedding celebration of the Catholic Church last year.
His family lives at Nsukka area of Enugu State while he stay with he stays with the SEDI boss at Bricks/Ike ekweremadu Avenue close the scene of their death.
Their death has been confirmed by the Enugu State Police Command.
The Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe said: “Information surrounding a shooting incident today, 07/07/2021 at about 1600hrs, along Enugu/Port-Harcourt Expressway, said to have led to the death of a man and his Police orderly, is still sketchy.”
“Meanwhile, preliminary investigation has commenced. Further development will be duly communicated, please.”
