The Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwoolu has revealed that some people are “working-behind-the-scenes” to address the arrest of Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho.
Recall that Igboho was arrest in a Cotonou airport last week by Beninoise officials over ‘immigration’ issues while attempting to flee to Germany with his spouse.
It will be recalled that Igboho was declared wanted shortly after operatives of the Department of State Security Services, DSS, uncovered a large cache of arms and ammunition at his Soka, Ibadan residence during a raid, a claim Chief Igboho has debunked stressing that those arms were planted in his house.
Speaking on the development, while fielding questions from Journalists, at the Polling Unit 019 Ward 08, Ikoyi II, where he cast his vote during the Local Government/Council Areas election on Saturday, Sanwoolu disclosed that ‘people’ are working behind the scenes. He added that the case doesn’t have to be a public conversation.
“These are very difficult times for all of us. I can assure you that people are working behind the scenes. At occasions like this, it’s not by how many Press people you call”.
“I’m aware that a lot of people have responses that they are doing quietly and privately and it doesn’t have to be a public conversation.”, he said.
