Fidelity Advert
Nnamdi Kanu

Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has revealed the reason behind the inability of the the Department of State Services, DSS, to bring Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to court on Monday.

The convener of Concerned Nigerian, suggested that the Nigerian government has no case against Kanu, hence the failure to bring Kanu to court.

In a tweet, the activist stressed that the “show” was to keep Kanu in DSS custody indefinitely.

According to Adeyanju: “BREAKING: Court adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s trial till October because of failure of DSS to bring him to court.

“There’s no case in the first place. All the show is just to keep him in custody indefinitely.”

Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court, had on Monday adjourned the trial of Kanu till October 21st.

The adjournment was due to the failure of the secret police to produce Kanu in court.

Nnamdi Kanu has been in DSS custody since he was rearrested and returned to Nigeria in June.
