In a rather shocking position, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has taken a swipe on Aliyu Mahdi Gusau, the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State for not joining the All Progressives Congress, APC with his Governor.

The deputy governor had refused to defect with his Governor, Bello Mattawale to the APC.

At a time when the PDP and her supporters are rallying support for the embattled Deputy Governor, a chieftain of the party; Fani-Kayode said the deputy chairman isn’t loyal to his principal.

In a tweet on Tuesday morning, the former aviation minister said:

“When a Governor decamps from one party to another shouldn’t his Deputy go with him? Is that not what loyalty is all about?

“Against his better judgement @Bellomatawalle1 picked you as his running mate & made you Deputy Governor & now you undermine & betray him?

“Shame on you!” FFK said to the deputy governor.

Journalist101 recalls that Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court Abuja, had restrained the Zamfara State House of Assembly, the Chief Judge and others from making any move to impeach the Deputy Governor.

Justice Egwuatu ruling in the ex-parte application filed by the PDP through her lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief James Onoja Ogwu, held that the apprehension of the applicant in respect of the impeachment move was serious and justified to restrain the defendants from carrying out the alleged action.

The judge also restrained the Chief Judge of Zamfara State from constituting any panel for the purpose of investigating Gusau pending the determination of a motion on notice filed by the PDP.
