Yet to be identified couple has just been kidnapped at Ogbatai Road by Woji Town Hall area of Port Harcourt by unknown gunmen.
An eyewitness told JOURNALIST101 that the couple were whisked aware while they were waiting for the street security to open their gate around few minutes past 9pm.
“The husband an wife were driving home and was honking so that the security guys can open their gate. Before they could get to there, the kidnappers double crossed them.
“The shot sporadically into the air to scare people away before taking the husband and wife into their (kidnappers’) car and one of them entered the couple’s car and followed them,” the witness told our correspondent.
According to the witness, the couple were driving an SUV car while the kidnappers were driving a smaller car.
Effort to reach Rivers police command spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni to comment on the development wasn’t successful as he’s yet to reply to the SMS sent to his mobile line by the time of filing in this report.
