After weeks of speculations, the Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr. Nkem Okeke has officially defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Deputy Governor was welcomed into the party by President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday.
APC Caretaker Committee Chairman and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, led other members of the party to the defection parley with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma in attendance.
Dr. Okeke first served as Anambra State Commissioner for Economic Planning, and again as Anambra State Commissioner for Works and Transport in the administration of Governor Peter Obi.

Deputy governor elected in his ward needs to defect officially in his ward, except if his ward is Abuja. Okay now that he defected before his Oga d governor, what will his Oga and d party do? Defect with him or sack him? Sack him of course, but if they fail to sack him, then they too have defected to APC at least in principle, this is more damning than it apparently appears. By this we now see why all d lethal chaos is happening in Anambara.
