Ekwulobia town, Aguata local government area of Anambra State has been thrown into serious tension following the alleged killing of operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) by unknown gunmen.
The operatives were allegedly gunned down at Ekwulobia round about on Friday.
Neighbouring communities like Isuofia, Nnaka Aguluezechukwu and Oko are on high alert as residents scamper for safety and joint forces comprising of the police and the military have taken over the area.
Though the details of the attack is still sketchy, video showing the aftermath of the attack are circulating on social media.
The footages and photos show the extent of firepower against the security agents as bullets riddled windshields of vehicles.
The bodies of the deceased were hurriedly taken away from the scene as several residents converged.
