The Executive chairman of Delta State of Board of internal Revenue, Sir Monday J.Onyeme has commended the Nigeria police force under IGP Usman Alkali Baba on his efforts at making communities safe, peaceful and secured using the instrumentality of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

POCACOV is a Nigeria Police Force community policing initiative which involves the engagement of relevant stakeholders and multi Agencies in our communities aimed at weakening the recruitment of youths into Cultism and other vices for a better society

Sir Monday J. Onyeme who is also the grand patron of POCACOV in Delta state made the commendation on Wednesday during a Stakeholders interface with the leadership of POCACOV in his office at Warri, Delta state on modalities to strengthen the ‘POCACOV in my community’ and ‘POCACOV in my family’ activities within Delta state communities.

He noted that haven followed POCACOV and it’s numerous community driven activities and it’s framework that it has what it takes to impact on youth populace, change their mindset and orientation against negative tendencies, involve all for participations and problem solving for a greater society and further commended the Nigeria police force on the wonderful initiative which he described as Non kinetic community driven program.

He urged all to throw their weight behind POCACOV to set things right through it’s numerous community driven approach of cutting the supply chains and conveyor belts and vowed to throw his support with his team to ensure that the message of the initiative is deep-rooted in Delta communities for a greater society.

Adding her voice, Delta state POCACOV Ambassador Barr.(Mrs) Omude Ngozi Ochonogor-ochibe thanked the host and grand patron of POCACOV on his efforts at repositioning the mindsets of our youth populace and applauded Pocacov in my family activity which she also described as Family parliament aimed at reinventing the role of family in the moral upbringing of a child for a greater society.

Responding, the National coordinator POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu thanked the stakeholders and informed them that has various Nigeria community driven program and activities geared towards mobilizing Stakeholders and multi Agencies for partnership, Participations and problem solving in communities.

He further highlighted that stakeholders and multi Agencies are policing actors and stakeholders and required that collaborative effort to enhance community peace building and safety and also used the occasion to remind them on the 1st IGP triathlon invitational Championship slated to take place in Abuja on 4/12/2021 which is aimed at further enhancing stakeholders and multi Agencies Participations for collaborations and problem solving.

Hightlight of the POCACOV stakeholders interface was the formal decoration of sir Monday .J onyeme with POCACOV badge as grand patron of POCACOV in Delta and as a community peace builder.
