The lawmaker representing Idemili North and Idemili South Local Government Areas in the House of Representatives, Hon. Obinna Chidoka has just commenced distribution of bags of rice, empowers materials to his constituents.
Hon Chidoka is also celebrating his birthday today.
The lawmaker is distributing over one thousand bags of rice and cash to his constituents in today’s empowerment program.
He is also expected to flag-off road projects in his constituency today.
All roads indeed led to Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area venue of the empowerment program as PDP faithful and his supporters again benefitted from his milk of human kindness.
It would be recalled that in the month of November and December, Hon Obinna Chidoka facilitated training on alternative energy for unemployed youths in his constituency.
Over 300 youths across the two council areas that constitute his constituency benefited in the empowerment scheme.
At a time when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State was still nursing the pain of losing the governorship election, Hon Obinna Chidoka splashed cars, shuttle buses, tricycles, generators, sewing machines, bags of rice and cash on his constituents.
The lawmaker’s gesture made the Christmas and new year festivities unique for his constituents.
Just as the good people of Anambra State are celebrating the unusual representation from Hon Obinna Chidoka, the lawmaker added an icing on the cake when he moved a motion on December 16, on the floor of the House of Representatives toward the dismantling of the alarming numbers of police check points from Abuja to South East States and ditto for Lagos to the entire South East States.
The dismantling of the police check points during the festive period gave the Southerners a respite from the harrowing experience they normally go through at the security posts turned extortion and exploitative points.
Commuters and other road users have continued to applaud Hon Obinna Chidoka for sponsoring the motion for the dismantling of police road blocks for ease of movement for Nigerians during the Christmas and new year festivities.
Today, as the sagacious legislator will again distribute one thousand bags of rice to his constituents and supporters in Anambra State in what political analysts have described as a beautiful way of starting the year.
The flag-off of road projects in his constituency today will of course be a continuation of his responsible representation in the National Assembly as the length and breadth of Idemili North and Idemili South is replete with signature projects of Hon. Obinna Chidoka.
Election or no election, the Obosi born politician is passionately committed to putting smile on the faces of his constituents, Anambra people and Ndigbo in general.
