Fidelity Advert

Precious Chikwendu, estranged wife of Femi Fani-Kayode, former aviation minister, has said that she almost died after she gave birth to her triplets.

Recall that the ex-beauty queen welcomed set of triplet with Fani-Kayode on May 25, 2018. They had named them Ragnar, Aiden, and Liam.

The marriage which produced four children, however hit the rock in 2020 over allegations bordering on domestic violence and infidelity, with both of them getting into a heated fight over the custody of their children.

Taking to her Instagram on Wednesday, Chikwendu said she was “almost dusted off the earth” by several incidents which trailed the birth of the triplets.

She explained that five months after giving birth to her kids, she underwent thyroidectomy — the surgical removal of all or part of the thyroid gland.

She also talked about how she was allegedly beaten, stripped naked before police officers, sedated and dumped at a mental home where she was injected with several substances six months after birthing the triplets.

God! I can never be ungrateful to you regardless. Who am I that you are so mindful of me? You amaze me Lord. I’ve spent four days digging into my medical report from 2015 to the last surgery in 2020,” she wrote.

In the post, Chikwendu thanked God for keeping her alive despite the ordeal, adding that she is determined to continue pushing to secure custody of her children.

She said “I was barely alive yet I lived like nothing was wrong even with the constant abuse in such conditions. There must be something you want to do with me that I still haven’t wrapped my brain around”.
