Massive jubilation is currently going on at Enugu Press Centre, the office of Enugu Chapter of National Union of Journalist, NUJ as a new chairman has emerged for the Council.
Announcing the result, the Chairman credentials Committee of the election, Lawrence Njoku said that one of the contestants, Comrade Sam Udekwe garnered the highest number of lawful votes cast to emerge the new chairman, while Amaka Agbo Nzekwe came second.
Announcing the results, Mr. Njoku who’s also the chairman of correspondents Chapel said that Comrade Udekwe scored 157 votes while Mrs. Agbo got 90 votes.
He said that the process was without rancour and very transparent while thanking the members of the council for conducting themselves properly.
In his acceptance speech, Udekwe assured that this is a new dawn for the Council and charged all to support the incoming administration.
