It’s on record that, the industrialization of Japan took off with the convergence of technologies in the late 19th century, following diffusion of technologies from United States and Great Britain, in addition to massive capitalization, inter alia.
Paradoxically, in Igbo land, in the 21st century and the 4th industrial revolution, the convergence of criminality that metamorphosed into Unknown Gun Men has ironically stifled the little progress the region of the rising sun has made since the devastating Biafran War.
Unfortunately, Industrialization of Igbo land that was about taking off with World class Auto Industries, like Innoson and others that are springing up at almost every corner of the South East, following the patriotic call of “Aku luo uno” might be put on hold or stagnant if the activities of unknown gun men are not nipped in the bud.
Finally, no matter the justification for the arming of non state actors in defense of Igbo land, their activities have done more harm to the people they supposed to be protecting than those they are protecting us from.
