DCP Abba Kyari

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court of Abuja has fixed February 28th for the hearing of the bail application of suspended police chief, Abba Kyari.

This was after counsel to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA), Mike Kassa had informed the court that the respondent (NDLEA) was yet to be served with the bail application.

Counseling to Kyari, Cynthia Ikenna objected Kassa’s claim and informed the court that there is a proof of service to that effect.

Justice Ekwo however ordered lawyer to Kyari, Cynthia Ikenna, to serve Kassa in the open court after which, the matter was stood down for about an hour.

The court later adjourned to February 28, to hear Abba Kyari’s bail application.

Kyari and other police officers are being investigated by the Anti-Drug agency for alleged involvement in a 25kilograms cocaine deal.
