FIFA has placed an indefinite ban on Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja from hosting anu international football match.

The ban is coming after irate Nigerian fans invaded the stadium following Nigeria’s inability to qualify for the world cup after the black stars of Ghana held them to a 1-1 draw.

Despite the indefinite ban on the stadium, the world football governor body and Confederation of African Football, CAF, are yet to decide on which sanction to place on Nigeria for such act.

CAF had in 2017 slammed Nigeria with a $5,000 fine for poor crowd control at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, when the super Eagles hosted Egypt in the African Cup of Nations qualifier match.
