Terrorists that attacked the AK-9 Abuja-Kaduna bound train and abducted many passengers, have released one of its victims, Sadiq.
Sadiq who is a son of the Convener of the Northern Elders’ Forum, Ango Abdullahi, was released by his abductors on Sunday after over one month with the terrorists.
Sadiq, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), was among those in the Business Class coach of the train, who were abducted by the gunmen.
Reports says a ransom was paid to the terrorists to secure sadiq’s release even as the terrorists were unaware that Sadik was the son of the NEF leaders when the negotiation for his release was going on.
Sadiq is the second to be released after the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), Alwan Ali-Hassan, was freed by the terrorist on reported health grounds
